āThese allegations are offensive and ridiculous,ā Green said. āOur officials are highly trained professionals who work tirelessly to ensure the fairness of the game.ā

āItās a shame that people would make these accusations without any evidence,ā Green said. āThis is a tough game and sometimes the calls donāt go your way. But that doesnāt mean thereās cheating.ā
However, many fans didnāt buy Greenās explanation. They pointed to some questionable decisions by officials during the game, such as a Bills denied kickoff that could have changed the outcome of the game.
āI donāt know if there was favoritism, but there were some very questionable decisions,ā one fan wrote on Twitter.
āIām a Bills fan and I feel like we were scammed,ā another wrote.
Itās unclear at this time whether the NFL will investigate the allegations of favoritism. Whatās certain, however, is that the incident tarnished the Chiefsā win and undermined fansā faith in the fairness of the NFL.
And in a related development, a group of Bills fans started a petition asking the NFL to review the game. āWe want justice for the Bills,ā the petition reads. āWe donāt believe the Chiefs won fairly.ā
